Two powers are fighting for control: the Allies and a group of nations calling themselves the Supreme Evil. Little is known about The Supreme Evil and its motives but one thing is clear: this group has advanced weaponry. Over several months, the Allies have been slowly destroyed by The Supreme Evil. Supreme Commander Ather, commander of the Supreme Evil, has quickly dispatched several countries in the span of a few months. In one last effort to retain any hope, the Allies have gathered all their forces in one area. A defensive station was built and plans were made to finally lay the Supreme Evil to rest; however, this task may prove to be harder than one thinks. This is where you come in. Your job is to fend off the Supreme Evil and Supreme Commander Ather. You command the only Allied defensive post left. Compared to the Supreme Evil, your weapons are primitive; however, they can be effective. You are given a machine gun with unlimited shells, a supply of rockets, and a small supply of sky-clearing nukes. Your crew will do their best to keep the base undamaged. If there's no damage, they may even find time to replenish your nukes and rockets. 2. System Requirements Judgment Day must meet the following requirements to run successfully. Starting a game Starting a game is simple. Choose “Start Game” from the main menu, and choose your difficulty level. There will be a small loading sequence and the game will begin. 5.2. Game Controls The controls in Judgment Day are easy to master. Below are the controls, and what they do. l, right arrow, or move mouse right = move your gun to the right. j, left arrow, or move mouse left = move your gun to the left. i, up arrow, or mouse scroll wheel up = switch weapons. k, down arrow, or mouse scroll wheel down = switch weapons. control key or left mouse click = fire chosen weapon 1 = switch to machine gun 2 = switch to rockets 3 = switch to nukes h = check base integrity r = check number of rockets s = check remaining enemies on the current wave n = check number of nukes e = announce current level c = speak score a = speak accuracy shift or right mouse click = beep to announce position on the screen. p = pause game esc = exit to main menu page up = turn music volume up page down = turn music volume down 5.3. Game play As you move your gun left and right there are enemies that are trying to land and destroy your base. Center the sound of the enemy in your speakers or headphones and start blasting. It is your job to keep the field clear of all the enemies. If an enemy lands, you will take damage. Your base will repair itself over time if this happens. If you fire off any rockets or nukes, these will also be replenished; however, there are priorities. Your base will always be repaired before rockets or nukes are replenished. 5.4. Weapons Your base comes equipped with three awesome weapons and another secret weapon that is unlockable. Machine Gun: If there's one thing we love, it’s bullets and lots of them. Use the machine gun to start ripping apart your enemies. The machine gun has an unlimited amount of bullets and is great for blasting away the competition. Rockets: When things get a little crazy and you don't have time to put seven bullet holes into the Red Barron why not use a rocket? If there are a few enemies in close proximity to each other, the rocket will make short work of them. Nukes: Now who doesn't love these? When it's obvious you're losing the fight, just send out a nuke and kiss your troubles and the atmosphere goodbye. The nukes will clear anything off the screen. Nuclear Winter not included. Secret Weapon: There have been hushed conversations around the base that a new weapon has been developed which can do some serious damage; however, little is known about it. if you happen to earn enough trophies to unlock it, the enter key might power it up. 5.5. The Enemies These are the uninvited visitors, so read up on your guests. Rockets: The enemies have these and, boy, are they fun, fun, fun. Just take a bullet and blast them out of the sky. The rockets aren't a big problem unless, of course, there's a ton of them coming down. Copters: These guys are very predictable. Just open up your machine gun and let them have it. They take a few shots to put away. Planes: The pilots like to fly diagonally which is just a pain. Keep your eye and weapon of choice on them and it'll be fine. Disablers: These guys use their onboard thrusters to bounce to another part of the screen when shot. If they land, they'll do funny things to your weapons for a couple of seconds. So keep them off the ground. 5.6. Supreme Commander Ather He's big and bad and he's coming to get your base. If you complete all ten waves of enemies, Supreme Commander Ather will swoop down to say hi. Supreme Commander Ather attacks in five stages. Stage 1 through 3: Commander Ather will send a massive amount of enemies that you will need to defend the Allied post against. Stage 4: Commander Ather will send out his special laser satellite to try and destroy your base. The satellite hovers back and forth, firing laser blasts as it goes. Take out the satellite but stay out of its way when it's about to fire off a burst of energy. These satellites can damage your base if you are directly under them. You'll know the satelite is ready to fire when it charges up. listen to the sound it makes then move out of the way quickly. Stage 5: Once you've destroyed the satellite, Supreme Commander Ather takes matters into his own hands. He’ll swoop down and fly back and forth, dropping nukes. It's your job to blow him out of the sky. But be careful! One hit from a nuke can do major damage. YOu can shoot the nukes to get them off the screen, and to earn some extra points. 5.7. Score For each enemy you shoot, you can earn a maximum of 30 points. The quicker you can shoot an enemy, the more points you get. You will also earn points for your accuracy, multiplied by 10. If your accuracy is 56, you'll earn 560 points. You will earn 1000 points multiplied by your current difficulty level for defeating the boss. Finally, your final score will be multiplied by a modifier. If you complete the game on normal, hard, or ultra difficulty, you will earn two, three, or four times your total score respectively. 6. Trophies Depending on how your game goes, you can earn trophies for completing certain objectives during the game. Here are just a few hints to help you earn some. Have you beaten the game on all three difficulty levels? Would you rather just sit and watch the game try and play itself? Are you a sharp shooter? Do you prefer to just hold down the trigger the entire time you play? Have you tried starting the game when Liam's favorite baseball team starts their games? Hint. Liam's from the north side of the Windy city. Does that help? Hint 2. Liam lives in Chicago. There are two chicago baseball teams. One of them has a very special start time they have kept for many years. hint 3. It's in the afternoon. hint 4. There is no hint 4. Remember, there are at least 40 trophies. There are plenty to find. Avoid the missiles that are being fired up from the ground. Controls: left arrow, or j, = move left right arrow, or l, = move to the right. page up = turn music volume up page down = turn music volume down 7.3. Weapon Search: You've snuck into one of the Supreme Evil's storage rooms. Your job is to sneak around and collect as many weapons as possible. You will be given audible feedback as to what is around you; however, don't wait to long as eventually it will be known that there's an intruder. If you can't get to the door in the top right corner of the screen before the time runs out, you're history and you won't earn any points. left arrow, or j, = move left right arrow, or l, = move to the right. up arrow, or i, = move forward. down arrow, or k, = move backwards. 7.4. Number Guess It's like a game show, with out the fancy prizes. Guess as many numbers as possible with in 60 seconds. When you have a choice selected, press enter. You'll be told if your guess is too high or too low. You get four chances for each number. See how many you can get in sixty seconds. 8. LWorks Theatre The LWorks Theatre let's you listen to pieces of audio. Some of these audio pieces are tutorials to help you play the game. If you can't post anything, the menu will not be displayed. Make sure you are connected to the internet before you submit a score. In case there is an error, your score will not be erased from the game. Also, remember that the score system online will only keep track of one score per table, so if you submit a score that is lower than your previous score, the previous score will be overwritten. 10.
